Some useful keyboard shortcuts for Gmail

The following list describes some useful keyboard shortcuts used to handle very common task in Gmail.

You need to enable ‘Keyboard shortcot on’ option in Gmail setting page, see image:

keyboard shortcuts in Gmail:

ccompose a new message.
shift + ccompose a message in a new window.
nNext message
pPrevious message
!Marks a message as spam and removes it from your conversation list.
rReplies to the message sender
shift + rReply to a message in a new window. (Only applicable in ‘Conversation View.’)
aReplies to all message recipients
shift + areply to all message recipients in a new window. (Only applicable in ‘Conversation View.’)
fForwards a message
shift + fforward a message in a new window. (Only applicable in ‘Conversation View.’)
<Shift> + iMarks your message as ‘read’
